Club Statement

Our preparation for the 2021 USL League Two season began on April 3, 2020, when we made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 season.  During that time, we have not laid dormant.  We have worked to create a new vision and new direction for the club.  Our aspirations are high, and we remain committed to our community and the development of soccer in this great state!

Our new vision and direction lead us to rebrand.  We are pleased to unveil our new name and crest today.  The crest was created with precision to provide a unique, identifiable brand that our club and community can call its own.  The crest centers around blue mountains to pay homage to our mountain state’s blue ridge mountains.  Within the mountains are the letters “W” and “V”. Additionally, the Roman numerals “CCCIV” represents “304”.

As we move our club forward, we aim to provide an elite first team in the fourth tier of the United States soccer pyramid (USL League Two), as well as an academy team within the USL Academy system.  We understand that this will take time, but we have worked tirelessly to put together a roadmap for success.
